Terms of Service (DateMore)

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the DateMore mobile application and related services (collectively, the “App” or “Services”) provided by DateMore (“DateMore”, “we”, “us”).

By downloading, accessing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.


1) Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age required in your country) to use the App. If you are under 18 (or the age of majority where you live), you represent that you have permission from a parent or legal guardian to use the App.


2) Your account

  • Account creation: You may need to create an account to use certain features.
  • Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account.
  • Accurate information: You agree to provide and keep accurate, current information.

3) Partner linking and shared features

DateMore allows you to link your account with a partner using a partner code or similar mechanism (“Partner Linking”). If you choose to link:

  • You authorize DateMore to share certain information between linked accounts to enable couple features (for example, shared dates, relevant profile details, and preference matching).
  • You are responsible for linking only with someone you have permission to share information with.
  • If you unlink, sharing between accounts generally stops going forward (some records may remain in each person’s account history depending on how the feature is used).

4) Location-based features

Some features use your location to show recommendations “near you.” You control location permissions through your device settings. You agree that results may be less accurate or less relevant if you disable location access or provide inaccurate location information.


5) AI and third‑party content disclaimer

DateMore may generate or surface recommendations using AI and third‑party data sources (for example, venue listings, events, web search results, and other content).

  • No guarantees: Recommendations, ratings, availability, prices, hours, and other details may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated.
  • You are responsible: Verify details directly with venues and event organizers before making plans, purchases, travel, or relying on recommendations.
  • Not professional advice: The App does not provide professional, medical, legal, financial, or safety advice.

6) Your content

You may be able to submit content such as profile photos, notes, and date details (“User Content”).

  • You own your content: As between you and DateMore, you retain your rights in your User Content.
  • License to operate the Services: You grant DateMore a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, store, process, reproduce, and display your User Content solely to operate and improve the Services (including displaying shared content to a linked partner where applicable).
  • Responsibility: You are responsible for your User Content and represent that you have all rights needed to provide it.

7) Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • misuse, interfere with, or disrupt the App or Services;
  • attempt to gain unauthorized access to systems or accounts;
  • reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code except to the extent permitted by law;
  • use the App to violate any law or third‑party rights;
  • upload malware or harmful code;
  • harvest data from the App or use automated scraping without permission;
  • use the App in a way that could expose DateMore or users to harm, liability, or security risk.

We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or are using the Services in a harmful way.


8) Subscriptions, billing, and cancellation

DateMore may offer paid features through auto‑renewing subscriptions (“Subscriptions”) and may offer a free trial from time to time.

  • Billing platform: Subscriptions are billed through the Apple App Store or Google Play (your “App Store”).
  • Auto‑renewal: Unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period, your Subscription will automatically renew and you will be charged through your App Store account.
  • Manage / cancel: You can manage or cancel your Subscription in your App Store account settings.
  • Free trials: If offered, trials automatically convert to a paid Subscription unless cancelled before the trial ends.
  • Refunds: Refund requests are handled by your App Store and are subject to the App Store’s policies.
  • Price changes: We may change prices for Subscriptions in accordance with applicable law and App Store rules (you may be notified in advance where required).

9) Intellectual property

The App, including its software, design, text, graphics, logos, and other content (excluding User Content), is owned by DateMore or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial use in accordance with these Terms.


10) Privacy

Our collection and use of personal information is described in our Privacy Policy: docs/PrivacyPolicy.md.


11) Termination

You may stop using the App at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if we believe you have violated these Terms, posed a risk to other users, or if we must do so for legal or security reasons.


12) Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the App and Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” DateMore disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.


13) Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DateMore will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenues, data, or goodwill, arising from or related to your use of the App.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DateMore’s total liability for all claims relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid to DateMore (if any) in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.


14) Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and may provide additional notice in the App. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
