Privacy Policy (DateMore)
Effective date: December 29, 2025
Last updated: December 29, 2025
DateMore (“DateMore”, “we”, “us”) provides a mobile application that helps couples discover and plan dates (“App”). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
1) Information we collect
A) Information you provide
Depending on how you use the App, you may provide:
- Account information: email address and authentication details (for example, password or sign-in tokens).
- Profile information: your name, profile photo (optional), gender (optional), relationship details (such as relationship status and start date), and similar onboarding details.
- Preferences: interests you select, budget preferences, and other settings that help personalize recommendations.
- Partner linking information: partner code(s) and information needed to connect two accounts.
- Dates and planning content: date ideas you save, dates you plan (title, time/date, location/venue details), and any notes you add.
- Support communications: messages you send to us if you contact support.
B) Information collected automatically
When you use the App and our services, we (and our service providers) may automatically receive:
- Device and app information: device type, operating system version, app version, language, time zone, and similar technical details.
- Log and network information: IP address, timestamps, and events necessary to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the App.
- Push notification token: if you enable push notifications, we collect and store an Expo push token associated with your account to deliver notifications.
C) Location information
If you grant location permission, we collect approximate or precise location (depending on your device settings and permission) to provide “near you” recommendations and improve search results. You can change location permissions at any time in your device settings.
2) How we use your information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide and operate the App, including account creation, login, and core features.
- Personalize recommendations, including generating “Pick of the Week” and matching results to your preferences.
- Enable partner features, including linking accounts and showing shared content to linked partners.
- Power search and AI features, including processing your searches to return date ideas, venues, and events.
- Send notifications (if enabled), such as reminders, partner activity, and updates you opt into.
- Maintain safety and security, prevent abuse, and debug issues.
- Communicate with you, including responding to support requests.
3) How we share your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information in the following circumstances:
A) With your linked partner (if you choose to link)
If you link your account with a partner, certain information is shared between you and your partner to enable couple features, such as:
- Profile and onboarding details you’ve provided (for example, name and photo),
- Preferences used for matching,
- Shared date plans and related details,
- Partner activity (for example, when a date is added or updated).
You can unlink at any time (where available in the App), which stops new sharing going forward.
B) With service providers (processors)
We use third-party vendors to run the App and provide features. These vendors process information on our behalf and under their own privacy policies, including:
- Supabase (authentication, database, file storage).
- Expo / Expo Notifications (push notifications and related infrastructure).
- OpenAI (AI-powered understanding and generation for date ideas).
- Perplexity (real-time web search / intelligence for recommendations).
- DataForSEO (events and web search data used for recommendations).
- Google Places / Google APIs (place search, location/venue details, autocomplete).
When you use search features, your search text, relevant preferences, and approximate location may be sent to these providers to return results. Please avoid including sensitive personal information in free-text prompts.
C) For legal, safety, and business reasons
We may disclose information if we believe it is necessary to:
- comply with law or legal process,
- protect the rights, safety, and security of users or the public,
- enforce our policies, or
- support a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets (in which case we will take steps to protect your information).
4) Your choices and rights
- Account and profile: you can review and update certain profile and preference information in the App.
- Partner linking: you can choose whether to link, and you can unlink (where available).
- Location: you can allow or deny location access in device settings.
- Notifications: you can opt in/out of push notifications in device settings.
- Delete your account: to request account deletion, contact us at
support@datemore.app. We may need to verify your identity before completing the request.
If you live in certain jurisdictions (for example, the EEA/UK or California), you may have additional rights such as access, deletion, correction, or portability. You can contact us at support@datemore.app to make a request.
5) Data retention
We keep your information for as long as necessary to provide the App and for legitimate business purposes (such as security, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution). If you request deletion, we will delete or de-identify your information unless we are required or permitted to keep it by law.
6) Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7) Children’s privacy
DateMore is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under the minimum age required by law in your jurisdiction). If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at support@datemore.app.
8) International data transfers
Your information may be processed in countries other than where you live, including where our service providers operate. We take steps designed to ensure appropriate safeguards are in place for such transfers where required by law.
9) Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date and may provide additional notice in the App.
